WACO
Originating from the weirder nooks of the UK (North Yorkshire, Jersey and Teesside), Waco were brought together in 2014 through their animalistic compulsion to make noise and their shared goal to brainwash the masses with their relentless optimism. Variously describing themselves as 'cosmic punk' and 'super rock', the quartet's music boldly and joyfully melds a spread of '70s classic rock influences with punk, prog, psych and more.
Constantly pushing the boundaries of the genre, and throwing their eclectic array of influences into the mix, waco really are in a league of their own when it comes to defining exactly what punk music can be in the 21st century.
Their vision and character permeates everything they give to the world, from their ambitious videos to their handmade merch. Their new album 'Hope Rituals' is out now.
Despite the uncertainty that the pandemic has induced, Waco's positive spirit is unrelenting and infectious. They've made three homemade lockdown music videos, have another on its way and are ready to burst back onto the live circuit.
